About Phil Mitchell

Phil Mitchell’s working career background includes sales and management in variety stores, hardware stores, and home centers. Mitchell was employed by a large hardware wholesaler for 22 years and most recently served them as their Vice-President of sales. Mitchell resigned from Vice-President of sales to form a retail consulting company that he named Discovery-Based Retail. In the book of the same name, Mitchell outlines the processes and strategies employed by his company. Mitchell now spends his working time writing, consulting with retailers, and speaking with trade organizations.
